Week 4 reflection

 My win for this week was getting to watch lots of movies because it was too hot to go outside and play. 

My greatest learning achievement this week was my hangi writing because I put a lot of effort into it and I have nearly finished it.  

I am super excited that we get to go back to school because I am sick of looking at a screen all day.

Cooking breakfast this morning with my class

Today some of my classmates, teacher and I cooked our selves some breakfast. As you can see in the picture I cooked scrambled eggs, ham and mushrooms. I made that much food because my family and I were going to eat it. I ate it with bread and avocados. Even though I was the first person to start cooking I finished last.  

Explanation writing for hangi

Here is an explanation about a hangi. There is only one paragraph because it is not finished and

because I just started on it but I am going to add one paragraph. If you are wondering what all of the other writings are they are just some bullet points and ideas. I have never tried hangi before but I think it tastes nice. My class and I did this because one of our teachers wanted one for her class to explain what a hangi is

 

Term 4 week 2 reflection

My win this week was getting to see my friends at their house and no I didn't go inside. We just had a BBQ and play two very loud games: Get rich quick and king of the jungle. We played these two games until somewhere around 10 or 11 at night. 

This week was challenging because I was still very tired. This meant for the first few days I was slow and sleepy in online calls and learning but I did really well not to show it. 

My goals next week are to sleep early and maybe drink some coffee to wake me up if I am still sleepy.

Wordle

This is a wordle about me and the BEST characteristics which make up my personality. I enjoyed making this wordle because it was a fun way to play with words and learn some new words about myself.

It is good to have a positive view of ourselves because if you're happy, then you are more likely to push yourself to do things which are fun or can be challenging. For example last week's Cybersmart challenge was very challenging but we all learned something new and how to cope if things don't go your way.

Today for Niue language week we made our own posters, as you can see I am

in like a kina of beach. The words at the top means  "Hello My name is Malachi" 

Cybersmart challenge 25: Attributing images

 

Welcome back to term 4. Today for home learning we did our cybersmart challenge.

If you don't know what an attribute is here are some ideas. 

A attribute is when you use someone else's images or work as part of your 

own presentations  

Attributing someone else’s work that we use is important. If

you do not attribute the original source, that means  

you are basically claiming the image or work as your own.   

Images which are free to use should still be attributed because it

shows that we have good manners.

If you are having trouble with finding pictures with the google search or explorer tool, type in

"wiki.media" or "wiki.commons" and then your search term. 

Wall of fame

Today for our school it is the last day for term three then holidays!!! Here is a

quick recap from term 3 we had to say like what were we grateful for and other

things on the slide.By the way I did not create the slide my teacher did and I only 

wrote on it and made some edits.

 

Cybersmart challenge 24 - Replying to a comment

 

Today I completed cybersmart challenge number 24. Today we learnt how to reply a 

comment on our blog and at the last task we had put a conversation we ourselves and someone else.

This is important to me because this task reminds me how I should reply to some online and

maybe face to face like in a actual conversation.

but for reading. This is my favourite slide because I like the way I have done

the layout and because three weeks worth of work is on this slide. (This is my 100th blog post)

This is my term three home learning writing slide.This is like my maths slide but

only for writing.In here is school work or just normal writing.I think the best

writing I have done in this slide is How Maui Slowed the Sun because I put lots of effort. 

Cybersmart challenge 24:Scams and phishing

 

Today I did the cybersmart challenge about scams and phishing.I learnt

how to identify real scams and phishing.I loved this task because

we had to figure out if it was a scam or not, and because the front of

 slide made me laugh.

Maths learning slide

 

This slide is my maths learning slide.I am going to use this one

slide for the whole term and only for maths and I have other slides for other 

subjects like reading and writing.I think I started this maths slide two weeks ago so that

means I have only two weeks worth of work on this slide.It has lots of different maths activities

like kahoot, prototec, transum, and home learning.   

Reading: Texting is better than talking

 

This task was one of the tasks for my reading home learning this week.

Something I found interesting because did you know that talking on the phone causes

the radioactive waves to be extremely close to the brain.I just wanted to say that I

disagree with this task because one of the reasons is that you can get more of a conversation

talking with a person in person.(if that makes sense) 

Fried bread

On Saturday my mum and I made some fried bread to be honest 

This took me and mum hours to make the dough but it turned out 

pretty good and it taste like panikeke and it taste awesome with jam and butter .If you want to make

some fried bread here is a video.We used 2 tbsp sugar, 1 cup lukewarm water, flour ( as much as you want )

and tsp yeast everything else is on the video.
